Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,

During the winter, Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale) would conduct their Kirtan Divans at Rara Sahib slightly early in the daytime from 2PM to 5PM as in the winter it is very cold, foggy and dark in the evenings and so it’s hard for the Sangat to focus on the Kirtan in such conditions.

After Sant Ji Maharaj’s Kirtan’s at Rara Sahib, after listening to Sri Hukamnama Sahib and after Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj’s Sukhasan Seva, Sant Ji Maharaj would go to their Bhora Sahib straight away. They would not waste any time and were renown for this by most of the Sangat. Sant Ji Maharaj would always arrive to their Kirtans on time without a delay and as evident in previous Saakhiyan on this website, Sant Ji Maharaj would do everything to ensure they were on time to their Kirtan.

There were times when people would test Sant Ji Maharaj’s timing by taking their watches out and to their astonishment, just as they would pull their watches out to check the time – Sant Ji Maharaj’s car would be parked up outside.

One day after conducting their Kirtan Divan in the winter, Sant Ji Maharaj headed towards their Bhora Sahib and passed through their gate. After the Divaan, some members of the Sangat went to the Langar and some followed Sant Ji Maharaj into the Bhora Sahib. However on this occasion, Sant Ji Maharaj stopped before entering into the Bhora Sahib and instead asked for their Sevadars to bring their chair into the gardens.

It was there that Sant Ji Maharaj sat down amongst the Sangat and began speaking. However there was something different in Sant Ji Maharaj’s Bachan’s that day. Sant Ji Maharaj addressed the Sangat and asked: “Who did Kirtan today? What was the Katha regarding?”
wherever Your Holy Saints sing the Kirtan of Your Praises, let my mind be attached to that place. ||4||6||
When conducting their Kirtan, Sant Ji Maharaj was in a of bliss and peace where although they are conducting Katha and Kirtan, they appear to have their mind focused elsewhere, ‘Sudh Ki Na Sudh Rehi, Budh Ki Na Budh Rehi’
Please forgive us for any mistakes.
