Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,
Bhai Kuldeep Singh Ji from Chandigarh was a regular devotee of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj. At this point, Kuldeep Singh was living a normal life with his family.
On Pooranmashi and Maahvaari, many Sikh families would travel from Chandigarh to Gurdwara Karamsar Rara Sahib via their motorcycles. Kuldeep Singh decided to also travel to Rara Sahib. Unfortunately, whilst travelling Kuldeep Singh met in a collision and landed on the floor – injuring his shoulder. Due to this accident, Kuldeep Singh was unable to hear the annual Kirtan at Rara Sahib and so met with Sant Ji Maharaj later on in the evening in the Bhora Sahib.
As Kuldeep Singh went to bow to Sant Ji Maharaj, Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj smiled and said; “Come O’ Raaga Singh!” (Raaga is a term given to someone who is known for doing exceptional Kirtan.) Singhs standing close were astonished at what Sant Ji Maharaj had just said. One spoke and said, “Sant Ji Maharaj, how can you refer to him as ‘Raaga Singh’, let alone anything else, he doesn’t even know which hand to use when pressing the keys on the harmonium.’ Sant Ji Maharaj smiled yet again and said, “Well if he doesn’t know, he will learn. He will do amazing Kirtan one day…’
Sant Ji Maharaj blessed Kuldeep Singh’s injured shoulder with their hand and blessed him with Ghee and warm milk to recover. Kuldeep Singh began to do amazing Kirtan and many yearned to listen to his Kirtan. Kuldeep Singh was freed from poverty and later went on to become a very successful rich individual – owning a Coca Cola Agency in Ambala.
