This blog is a humble attempt at showcasing some events in the life of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale) and highlighting the worldwide seva done by Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji (Pehowa Wale) and Sant Baba Mohan Singh Ji (Pehowa Wale)
The following Bachan was shared by Jathedar Sant Baba Mohinder Singh Ji (Jarg Sahib Wale) – the Dholki player of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale):
One day, Sant Ji Maharaj was strolling within the Rara Sahib complex and eventually entered the Darbar Sahib. After having had Darshan of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, Sant Ji Maharaj returned to their room.
Sant Ji Maharaj then asked present Sevadaars as to whose Raul (Duty of prayer) it was during the time that Sant Ji Maharaj had entered the Darbar Sahib. The Sevadaars traced the Paathi Singh (Priest) and told him that Sant Ji Maharaj wished to see him.
When the Paathi Singh arrived in front of Sant Ji Maharaj, Sant Ji said: “When you was on Raul, there was not one crease in your clothes, (your clothes were ironed) so why was it that there were creases in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj’s Rumala Sahib?”
Gurbani is the Light to illuminate this world; by His Grace, it comes to abide within the mind. ||1||
Some people underestimate Mahapurkh and assume that they are focused on joining the Sangat with themselves. However that is clearly not the case, the aim of every Pooran Sant Mahapurkh is to join as many people with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj as possible. Sant Mahapurkh see Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj as what they really are – a living embodiment of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. Mahapurkh such as Sant Baba Nand Singh Ji (Nanaksar Kaleran Wale) have had Darshan of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj through Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and through this spiritual revelation have showed the whole world on how to Satkaar of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj the right way. The whole world is able to see how Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj should be respected through Maryada of Nanaksar in which Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj’s Rumala Sahibs are changed twice a day, all of Maharaj’s Rumala Sahibs are washed immediately after being worn and then ironed before being used again. Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji Pehowa Wale often say that we should always treat and serve Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, the same way we would treat Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, whether that be with their Rumala Sahib’s, the Bhog of Langar and even when sitting in their sanctuary. It may seem like an easy task to do, however it is only when someone tries do they realise the difficulty of doing Guru Sahib’s Seva.
