Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,
Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale) during their UK tour were seated in their car. The traffic light had turned red causing Sant Ji Maharaj’s car to stop. An english man who was crossing the road, looked straight at Sant Ji Maharaj. He began to swear at Sant Ji Maharaj and after having done so, carried on as normal.
Sant Ji Maharaj, despite being the all-knowing form of Akaal Purkh Waheguru asked their driver what the man was saying. The driver told Sant Ji Maharaj that the man was swearing at them through jealousy and ego.
The nature of an individual is normally to react immediately when abused or put in a position where they may feel embarrassed/harrassed. Had it been a normal human being, he would of perhaps sworn back or even attempted to cause a fight. However, Sant Ji Maharaj gave such a reply, which we all not only as Sikhs, but as human beings should take into account in our everyday lives, Sant Ji Maharaj said- “If by swearing, his mind feels at peace, then this action is positive.”
This is the difference between us human beings and Sant Mahapurkh. Sant Mahapurkh are Nirbhao (without fear) and Nirvair (without hate). They see the light of God in all and thus do not react to actions which may seem intimidating for us Kalyugi Jeev.
