Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,
Giani Thakur Singh Ji (Patiala Wale) had just finished doing Katha and was leaving the Gurdwara. A normal looking man who did not have a Dastar (Turban) or a beard approached Giani Thakur Singh. The man asked Giani Thakur Singh the significance of the Dasam-Duaar (the tenth gate) and how one should go about achieving such a stage. Giani Thakur Singh felt a sense of negativity from the man and considered him to be an atheist who would attempt to criticise Giani Ji’s advice. Giani Thakur Singh dismissed the man and said that such things do not exist.
However the man continued to question Giani Thakur Singh. Giani Ji took him to the side and asked him how many hours of Naam Simran he does on a daily basis. The man replied that he does 8 hours a day! Giani Thakur Singh was very shocked at this point and began to become intrigued. Giani Thakur Singh continued to question this ordinary mans spirituality. When partaking in meditation, it is believed that one see’s different colours whilst they have their eyes closed. Experiencing the colour white is believed to be the final stage. The man replied that he was experiencing this stage.
Giani Thakur Singh was immensely shocked at this stage and said – “You are not even Amritdhari, you have no Kesh or Dhara, how on earth did you reach this stage?”
The man replied – “My parents did Sangat of Sant Ji Maharaj, Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji (Rara Sahib Wale). It was through their grace I have achieved such a stage. Every time I engage in meditation within the sanctuary of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sant Ji Maharaj appears from within Guru Granth Sahib Ji. They then put their hand on my head and thus remerge back into Guru Sahib!”
