Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,
Jathedar Sant Mohinder Singh Ji (Jarg Sahib Wale) was once carrying out Katha-Kirtan at Rara Sahib, addressing the Sangat, Jathedar Ji said – “Only those who keep close company with the Sants are able to cross over the path that is the world.”
After completing their allocated time, Jathedar Ji proceeded to leave the stage. After Jathedar Ji, a BrahmGiaani Mahapurkh who used to attend to the cattle at Rara Sahib (Dangara Di Seva), who was highly respected by the Sangat at Rara Sahib, began their allocated time for Kirtan.
Comically addressing Jathedar Ji, the Mahapurkh said: “Jathedar Ji, don’t leave before you listen to what I have to say! It is true that their are many rewards that are attained from keeping close proximity to Sants, however it is not enough to simply keep company with them. If someone wants to ultimately become liberated, they must practice the teachings they give, it is those Bachans and teachings that will allow us to cross over the path.”
JE KOIEE BACHAN KMAAVAI SANTAN KA, SO GURPARSADEE TARIEEAI ||
If one is to practise the words prescribed to them by the Saints, then through the blessing of the Guru, they are saved.
The Bachan that Mahapurkh give are all related to Naam, Baani, Seva and Simran. Their ultimate aim is to join individuals such as ourselves with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj through this.
Please forgive us for any mistakes.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio.
