Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,

Juginder Singh of the village Rusheen was very fortunate to experience a glimpse into Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj’s all knowing nature. Firstly, Juginder Singh was told by Sant Ji Maharaj that he would be blessed with a son, who was later named Diyaal Singh. After the passing of a few months, the child became immensely ill to which Juginder Singh brought the child to Sant Ji Maharaj. Without enquiring any information into the illness or the child’s symptoms, Sant Ji Maharaj directly said “There is nothing wrong with the child, take him home.” All it took was for Sant Ji Maharaj to utter that once and almost simultaneously the child began recovering. In a matter of days the child returned to a healthy state.

When Diyaal Singh became 7, in the year 1960, he became ill once again, causing his mother and father much distress, They brought Diyaal Singh to Rara Sahib and offered Ardas firstly in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj for his recovery and stated that they would offer him for Seva for 5 whole years. However, upon hearing this, Sant Ji Maharaj again directly said – “Keep him at home, he will recover shortly.”

Sant Ji in their youth

Sant Ji in their youth

There was so much power in Sant Ji Maharaj’s speech that any statement they would utter, even unintentionally or passingly, would become true. This was the result of Sant Ji Maharaj’s long and committed meditation that made such things possible. This power of Sant Ji Maharaj attracted many to relieve themselves of their pains and troubles. Individuals had so much faith in Sant Ji Maharaj’s words that they were willing to conduct the hardest of tasks and fulfil the hardest of Bachans that were given to them by Sant Ji Maharaj in exchange for Sant Ji Maharaj to rid them of their problems. Sant Ji Maharaj did not misuse their power either, if they were to bless individuals, they would do so by joining devotees with Seva and Simran – ultimately uniting them with the main goal of each Sikh – Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.

The family accepted Sant Ji Maharaj’s Bachan and Diyaal Singh recovered once again. The family followed Sant Ji Maharaj’s Bachan and instead of offering the child for Seva, did the Seva for 10 Sri Akhand Paath Sahib Ji Jaaps. The family would conduct 2 Sri Akhand Paath Sahibs in a year, for 5 years, alongside a large Langar, in order to fulfil the Seva in the promised 5 years. The family continued carrying out Seva of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj and the SaadhSangat for their remaining life.

Please forgive us for any mistakes.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio.
