Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,

In the early days of  Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale)’s life, Sant Ji Maharaj used to travel to perform Kirtan by foot. A Jimeedar (farming) family requested Sant Ji Maharaj to come to their house during Amritvela (the early ambrosial hours of the day) and to perform Asa Di Vaar Kirtan. Sant Ji Maharaj accepted the request and said they would arrive 3AM sharp.

And so, when the given date had arrived, Sant Ji Maharaj alongside the Jatha, walked by foot to the family’s house at 3AM. Upon arriving, the family had not woken up and upon hearing the door knock, questioned as to who had arrived at such an early time in the morning. Sant Ji Maharaj spoke and reminded them of the program scheduled at their house. The family replied that they were too tired and asked Sant Ji Maharaj to come back at a later time.

After hearing the door knock again at 4:30AM, the family woke up to realise that it was Sant Ji Maharaj. Looking at the time, the family realised that it was too late for their scheduled program to be carried out.

Despite Sant Ji Maharaj being the all-knowing manifestation of Akaal Purkh Waheguru. Despite Sant Ji Maharaj being the knower of the Past, the Present and the Future. Despite all these spiritual powers and qualities, Sant Ji Maharaj always ensured they fulfilled the requests of their beloved and if they had made a promise to someone – they would ensure they completed that promise. If Sant Ji Maharaj had promised that they would arrive at a location at a certain time, without fail, they would always arrive there – not even a minute late.

They are so brave; they are men of their word.
