Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,

A devotee once asked the following question to Sant Baba Bhagwan Singh Ji (Reru Sahib Wale) regarding Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale).

“Baba Ji, why is that despite the fact that your holy self was blessed with the Dastar and responsibility of Reru Sahib by Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj (Reru Sahib Wale), that Sant Isher Singh Ji of Rara Sahib is in what can be described as a higher state of Chardi-Kala in the world than yourself?”

Sant Baba Bhagwan Singh Ji of Reru Sahib – Gurbhai to Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji (Rara Sahib) and Sant Baba Kishan Singh Ji (Rara Sahib)

Sant Baba Bhagwan Singh Ji (Reru Sahib Wale) replied with the following: “It is simple. Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj (Reru Sahib Wale) explained to all of us Sevadaars the method of ‘placing our feet in the stirrups of the horse’, however, Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji explained the method of placing the feet into the stirrups of the horse and riding it with ease to Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji only…”

In other words, Sant Baba Bhagwan Singh Ji explains that Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj (Reru Sahib Wale) blessed all their Sevadaars with Kirpa in regards to Seva and Simran. However, the Kirpa they blessed Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji with was unique and this was evident in the Par-Upkaar that Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji was able to bless mass Sikh Sangat’a with.

Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji (Pehowa Wale) whilst narrating the above, that Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji was able to gain this unique Kirpa from Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj (Reru Sahib Wale) due to the excessive seva Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji carried out. Before the invention of taps, water would be extracted from wells in India. Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj would have a Keshi Ishnan with 101 drums of water on a daily basis, and the responsibility of pulling those 101 drums of water from the bottom of the well would be solemnly Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji’s. It was this level of commitment and patience whilst conducting Seva that allowed Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji to gain the most rewards from Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj.

Please forgive us for any mistakes.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio.
