Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,
Bhai Balwant Singh (previously named Mukesh Kumar) did Seva with Sant Baba Gurinder Singh Ji at Rara Sahib for approximately 20 years. During this time, Bhai Balwant Singh conducted Seva of the farm animals at Rara Sahib, dedicating himself as responsible for cleaning them and getting rid of their excrement. Bhai Balwant Singh also did a lot of Seva in Sant Baba Gurinder Singh Ji’s Jatha – participating in playing Chimta and driving Sant Baba Gurinder Singh around. After a while, Sant Baba Gurinder Singh left Rara Sahib to live on land they themselves had purchased at Anandpur Sahib and Bhai Balwant Singh accompanied them to this point.
Bhai Balwant Singh then got married and after having had 2-3 children, began doing Seva as a Granthi Singh at a Gurdwara Sahib under Sant Baba Bhag Singh Ji Kar Seva Wale. One day when Bhai Balwant Singh had gone to drop his children off at school, a truck crashed into his Scooter and he was left extremely injured. Bhai Balwant Singh had lost both his legs due to the accident and didn’t have enough money for an operation he required.
He sat in the hospital crying to himself and Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale. “For 20 years I did Seva at Rara Sahib, why is it that Sant Baba Gurinder Singh Ji haven’t even come to visit me or ask of my wellbeing? What was the point of doing so much Seva at Rara Sahib, if today no one is willing to help me in my time of need?” Bhai Balwant Singh sat continuing to cry.
The very night after Balwant Singh had said this, a Sikh from New-Zealand came to visit the hospital Balwant Singh was at. The Sikh entered the room and gave Balwant Singh 100,000 Rupees. The Sikh then proceeded to bow on Balwant Singh’s knee to which Balwant Singh said: “Why are you bowing to me!? I am already practically dead!”
To this the Sikh from New-Zealand replied: “I am bowing to you because it is thanks to you that I was blessed with the Darshan of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale)! Sant Ji Maharaj visited me yesterday in my dreams and gave me your name and address. Sant Ji Maharaj told me that you required this money hence I have come to give you it. Thank you ever so much!”
Balwant Singh was left astonished and given the full assurance that if Sant Ji Maharaj’s devotees hadn’t helped him or come to visit, Sant Ji Maharaj had come themselves to fulfil his needs.
Dhan Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj.
Please forgive us for any mistakes.
