Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,

After listening to Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale)’s on a regular basis, a devotee asked the following: “Sant Ji, after listening to countless Kirtan Divans, I have noticed that in every single Kirtan you have conducted, you have always made a reference to death. Why is it that in every Kirtan Divan you mention death?”

Bring the twenty-seven elements of the body under your control, and throughout the three stages of life, remember death.

See the Infinite Lord in the ten directions, and in all the variety of nature. Says Nanak, in this way, the One Lord shall carry you across. ||3||26||

Upon hearing the devotee’s question, Sant Ji Maharaj said the following:

“We always refer to death, because we never forget death.”

Another Bachan of Sant Ji Maharaj is:

“The formula for remembering Vaheguru (God) is remembering death. He who forgets death forgets Vaheguru and he who forever remembers death, forever remembers Vaheguru.”

Please forgive us for any mistakes.
