Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,
During Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji’s stay at Reru Sahib, Sant Ji Maharaj made their mind up that they would abandon all worldly responsibilities and give up on education. However, Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj instructed Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji to continue education and insisted they return for Darshan another time.
Following these teaching, Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji returned to their studies; however found it extremely difficult to concentrate. Sant Ji Maharaj had left their mind with Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj and abandoned education altogether as their mind was now fixed in Waheguru Simran. Sant Ji Maharaj’s eyes would always be closed and their mind would always be focused on doing Simran.
Even during school, Sant Ji Maharaj would remain fixated on Naam Simran and would not care for their teachers, class fellowing or even their surroundings. After returning from school, Sant Ji Maharaj began locking themselves in their room to continue Smaadhi – leaving only at 2am to have an Ishnaan. Sant Ji Maharaj would remain in one position – bearing tears of immense Vairaag and consuming minimal food.
After returning from Reru Sahib, Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji suffered from a state of emotional withdrawal of Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Maharaj and consequently would spend most of their free time in Simran. During this period, Sant Ji Maharaj would meet with other Mahapurkh and engage in spiritual discourses. Occasionally on a holiday, Sant Ji Maharaj would go meet their mother Mata Rattan Kaur. However, they spent a majority of their time in devotional worship.
Please forgive us for any mistakes.
