Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,

Due to Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale)’s establishment of Asthans such as Gurdwara Karamsar (Rara Sahib, Ludhiana) and Gurdwara Sant Ashram at Dhablan and Hapur, many Sangat members had the opportunity to partake in daily Simran, Seva and Sangat.

Once when Sant Ji Maharaj was at Dhablan Sahib, many young women who had previously been local to the Asthan at Dhablan Sahib and now had moved to other locations across Punjab after getting married, came with a request. “Baba Ji, some of us have moved to Shimla, some to Chandigarh and others Jalandhar. How is it possible for us to now Sangat as we used to here at Dhablan Sahib?”

Sant Ji Maharaj smiled and then entered a deep thought. Sant Ji Maharaj replied to the young women: “It is the Hukam of Waheguru for you to scatter all over. Wherever you go, you must do Parchar of the truth and inspire others to follow the same path as you have been blessed to. With Guru Maharaj Ji’s Kirpa there will be large Smagams taking place. Sangat will continue happening here at Dhablan Sahib regardless, however with you scattering all over, new people will be inspired by you and more will fall in love with Parmeshar Waheguru.”

When Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj were carrying out their Udhasi’s, they visited one village that didn’t do any Seva of them during their stay. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj gave the village the Bachan – “Vasde Raho” (in Punjabi this translates as may you forever be happy in this place and is generally said as a form of gratitude). Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj then visited a village in which the natives served Guru Maharaj Ji with immense devotion. Upon leaving, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj gave the village the Bachan – “Ujjhar Jao” (in Punjabi this translates as scatter all over and said in anger).

Witnessing this, Bhai Mardhana Ji asked Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj as to why they gave blessings to those that didn’t serve them and a scolding to those that did serve them. Guru Maharaj Ji then explained the deeper significance of their Bachan’s. Guru Maharaj Ji explained that the individuals who don’t carry out Seva, wherever they go, they will influence others to do the same. Those individuals who do carry out Seva, wherever they go, they will influence others to do the same. Henceforth, Guru Maharaj Ji’s Bachan had a deeper meaning.

Please forgive for us any mistakes
