Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Jio,
Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj and Sant Baba Kishan Singh Ji Maharaj were subject to a lot of pain when carrying out their meditation. They dedicated their mortal frames in order to become one with ‘Waheguru’ and in doing so acquired difficulties and pain upon themselves. Sant Baba Kishan Singh Ji (Chotte Sant Ji Maharaj) particularly was prone to more illness and in one such instant, acquired a throat infection.
Chotte Sant Ji Maharaj tested a number of remedies however to no avail. Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji then recommended for Sant Baba Kishan Singh Ji to go to ‘Rajindara Hospital’ in Patiala and undertake treatment. Sant Baba Kishan Singh Ji stayed in hospital for 22 days and the present doctors recommended for them to have an operation as medicine would only provide them with temporary relief. After undergoing the operation, Chotte Sant Ji Maharaj returned to Rara Sahib and continued doing Seva as they had done in their previous manner.
Sant Baba Kishan Singh Ji Maharaj acted as a perfect role model for the Panth on how Seva should be done. We often make excuses when it comes to doing Seva – suggesting that we aren’t feeling well or the fact that the weather is too cold etc. However, Sant Baba Kishan Singh Ji illustrated that for someone who wants to do Seva, nothing else matters. Despite the fact that Sant Baba Kishan Singh Ji remained ill throughout their life and had to undergo such operations, they didn’t allow for that to effect the Seva they conducted.
Sant Mahapurkh take the pains and troubles of their devotees upon themselves – they cure others in an attempt to reinforce their faith in Seva, Simran and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.
Please forgive us for any mistakes
