This blog is a humble attempt at showcasing some events in the life of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale) and highlighting the worldwide seva done by Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji (Pehowa Wale) and Sant Baba Mohan Singh Ji (Pehowa Wale)
When Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib Wale) were carrying out Nirbaan Kirtan Updesh in Chandigarh, they passed a village named Muraada-baad. As they were passing the village, Bhai Chanan Singh and Bhai Surjeet Singh approached Sant Ji Maharaj and made a humble request for the opportunity to do their Seva. These two individuals didn’t have a big house of their own and so as a result of this asked ‘Rajesh Kumar’ a rich MP of the local area as to whether his home could be used for the Sangat to do Darshan and Seva of Sant Ji Maharaj. Rajesh Kumar agreed and instead of offering one of his other apartments, he offered his own personal home that was nothing less from a palace. Sant Ji Maharaj rested in a room at the top of the house for about 2-3 hours to which Sangat would come and listen to their Bachan.
When the time was 5PM, Bhai Surjeet Singh came down and assured Rajesh Kumar – “A Pooran Mahapurkh has come to your house, whatever it is that you need you should ask for it – you will get it…” Rajesh Kumar was still unsure as to whether he would get whatever he asked for, to which Bhai Surjeet Singh replied with a Gurbani Tuk…

should commit himself to the service of the Saints.
After having an Ishnaan and adorning new clothes, Rajesh Kumar went upstairs to meet Sant Ji Maharaj. However, following this, Rajesh Kumar did something quite opposite to the behaviour of a rich individual. Him and his wife both wore a ‘Palla’ (a cloth signifying humility) around their necks and held grass in their hands. Sant Ji Maharaj was getting ready to go and after having a light snack in the evening, the Sevadars told Sant Ji Maharaj that Rajesh Kumar was eager on having Darshan to which Sant Ji Maharaj accepted his request and called for him to come inside.
As the couple entered the room, Sant Ji Maharaj watched them carefully as they were holding the grass in their hands. The couple then began putting small amounts of grass in their mouth. Sant Ji Maharaj saw the two individuals holding their Palla with two hands and after witnessing the grass in their hands and in their mouth, Sant Ji Maharaj asked them what their sorrow was regarding. The wife replied: “Maharaj Ji we are desperate, we were both blessed with a daughter 25 years ago, however since then we haven’t been able to give birth. Please bless us with the gift of a son, we haven’t been able to do Seva in our lifetime, however we have heard of the glory of Sikhi and it’s capabilities…” Upon hearing this, Sant Ji Maharaj stood up and sat back down again. They then closed their eyes and upon reopening them, Sant Ji Maharaj asked “Till today what have you done in trying to get a son?” The family replied as to how they listened to every method that was told to them by different people, they explained how they had even gone to the 78 ‘Tiraths’ (pilgrimages) of India and given donations at these places. “We have served many Saints and carried out many services for the community – but all to avail. We have achieved nothing…”
Sant Ji Maharaj then asked as to whether they do any Bhajan. The two explained that they had once met a Saint who had given them guidance and a Mantra to recite in service of Vishnu. Sant Ji Maharaj went silent and said to Rajesh Kumar – “You are not very far from achieving your desires, however there is a little more you need to do. Carry on doing the Pooja you already do, whether its sounding bells etc. however, the one condition is that you install a picture of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj in your house. Do not see a slight difference in your routine, the only real difference for you is to focus on Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj and beg them to bless you with this gift.”
Rajesh Kumar explained how when he began to listen to this Bachan, his mind became focused on Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj and after 10 months he was blessed with a son. The greatest form of worship, service or pilgrimage is that which is done in service of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj…
